Caption drafting prompt
Say something worth reading.
Turn your real script, product and offer into a clear caption. Give the assistant the facts and the brand’s voice; keep the final judgment yourself.
Give it more
than a topic.
“Write a caption about our product” gives an assistant very little to work with. Supply the script, who the post is for, the actual offer and what people should do next.
If the video says “Comment GUIDE”, explain exactly what the guide contains and how someone receives it. If there is no offer, don’t let the assistant create one on your behalf.
The prompt is a drafting tool. Check product claims, availability, spelling and the actual buying path before you publish.

Write a useful English caption for this short-form video. Preserve the actual meaning and sound like the brand, not a generic marketing template. INPUTS Video script or description: Product or service and brand name: Who the video is for: What the viewer cares about: Offer and desired next action: Platform: Brand voice and words to avoid: Verified details, claims and customer search language: Location, if relevant: 1. Identify the main point. Write down the useful promise in the video, the specific facts supporting it and the action the viewer can take. Use language customers actually use. Do not invent research or claim a phrase has search demand unless the input supplies that evidence. 2. Write two caption options. One concise version and one with more context, only if the video warrants it. The first line should give the intended viewer a clear reason to read. Make the rest useful: clarify a detail, answer a likely question, or preserve information someone may want to return to. Do not repeat the entire script unnecessarily. 3. Give one clear next action. Use the supplied offer. If viewers should comment a keyword to receive something, name what they will receive and use the exact keyword. Do not promise a guide, discount, automatic message or delivery method that was not supplied. If the intended next action is missing, ask for it rather than inventing a funnel. 4. Adapt to the platform. Use natural paragraphs and readable line breaks. Include relevant product names, search language and location where useful, without stuffing keywords. Add only relevant hashtags if requested. Do not promise search rankings, AI citations, reach or a universal optimal caption length. 5. Check the facts and voice. Keep numbers with their units and preserve who achieved what. Do not invent benefits, quotes, scarcity, experience or guarantees. Remove generic claims such as “game-changing”, unnecessary hype and empty conclusions. Flag missing information instead of making it up. OUTPUT Concise caption. Expanded caption, if useful. Suggested video title, if the chosen platform needs one. Any factual checks or missing information before publication. Make it sound like something a knowledgeable person at this business would actually say.

Read the draft
out loud.
Does it sound like your business? Does the first line matter to the person you want to reach? Can they tell what to do next?
Keep useful detail. Cut sentences that only announce how excited you are. A caption should make the video and the next action clearer.
Use an AI provider you are comfortable sharing with. Leave private customer information out of your inputs.
